Man Thinks Log Is Caught On Boat Until He Flips It Over

When he spotted a brown object floating in the lake, his first thought was that it was a log. However, he was mistaken. In all of his years fishing, he had never encountered a situation like this.

It was now with him on his boats, and he felt overwhelmed by emotions. He had no idea what he was going to do next, all that he knew was that he had placed himself in a dangerous situation. He contemplated for a moment when he realized that he only had one option left.

Peace And Quiet

The protagonist of this story was a man named Brad Meck, who was an avid fisherman from a town called Everett. He loved fishing, and this incident occurred at Raystown Lake, which was located in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.

He spent a good chunk of his life fishing on that beautiful lake. Fishing was a means of escape for Brad. When he felt overwhelmed at work or home, he would pack up his gear and go fish. It cleared his head and kept him calm.

However, this particular situation was the exact opposite of a calming experience.

His Escape

Brad visited the lake so often that he knew everything about the lake. Brad loved that the lake remained constant, never surprising him with sudden changes of any sort. He loved that about the lake.

Another big reason Brad would visit that lake so often is because it was far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it was quiet and calm, and the only noises were the ones produced by nature. There was something different about that particular day.

An Uneventful Day

The day was going perfectly. It was no different from any other day he had been at the lake, and he loved it. He did not even consider that something unusual might occur. His plans for that day were to rest on his boat, catch a fish or two, and then make his way back home.

As he was thinking about the uneventful day that was ahead of him, something odd caught his attention. He grabbed his binoculars to get a better view of what it might be.

It appeared to be a log; however, it also seemed like it was moving in the water. Brad knew logs could not move like that, so what on earth was it? Brad began moving his boat closer to the object, and he realized that the thing was busy moving closer to him as well.

He moved closer and took the opportunity to investigate the object properly. He still thought it might have been a log drifting in the lake, but upon closer inspection, Brad observed something that made it clear that it was not a log at all.
