Krytzer has had an old blanket in his closet for nearly 7 years without knowing how valuable it really was. For all those years, he’s been scraping by, living in a shack after losing his leg in a tragic car accident… How did he find the blanket?

19. A Leftover from His Grandmother’s House

The man got the blanket by mistake. After his grandmother died, he had to go and get some books she kept for him to collect.

He recalls that there was only a bag left in that house, containing a soft blanket and a Navajo blanket…

18. The Dirty Old Thing

When they were little, Krytzer and his sister saw the blanket that their grandma used when their cat was having kittens. His sister looked at the blanket, and he asked her if she wanted it. “I don’t want that, that dirty old thing?

’ I picked it up … put it in my closet, and there it sat for seven years,” he recalled.

17. Years Passed and Krytzer’s Situation Got Worse

Before 2007, Krytzer was a thriving freelancer, working in carpentry. But after a car accident, he suffered many complications. He had to be put on dialysis, and one of his legs had nerve damage and microfractures, leading to amputation.
