Military Man Returns Home After Friend Notifies Him About Wife

While on deployment overseas, Lt. Chris Wilson received a message from a friend that his wife was selling off all their furniture. As a surprise for his wife and daughter, he asked for an early leave.

After seeing the conditions in which his daughter lived firsthand, he confirmed his suspicions.

There was something wrong, and he knew it.

Early Flight

Chris was constantly thinking about the wife he had left behind while he was deployed. The only thing that kept him going was his faith.

He wasn’t sure what to do after receiving a strange text from a friend back home. It was imperative that he see for himself. An early flight brought him home a month early.

He imagined that he would surprise his family by getting to see them early if nothing went wrong.

Surprised

As soon as Chris got home, there would be a surprise waiting for him. The challenges he would face were unknown to him.

He thought he would be the one to surprise his wife. Nevertheless, she was concealing something from him he never could have imagined.

There would be something to do with his daughter.

Perfect Reunion

After he used his key to unlock the front door, Chris hoped for a perfect reunion. Instead, he discovered that much of their furniture was missing.

There was still more to the story than that.

He realized that he should not have left the country for so long after seeing the conditions everything was in.

The Man, Chris Wilson 

He was the kind of guy who went to family barbecues and watched Disney movies with his daughter. Despite being such a kind man, he had to look out for another family as well.

Being a Lieutenant in the military made him a prized member of a demanding family.

Having many obligations that privates did not, he had to serve long tours.
