Woman Leaves Work, Stops Cold When She Sees Note On Her Car Window

Jodie’s hands tremble and her eyes begin to water as she reaches towards the note on her windshield. Something was inside there and she had a feeling it was anything but good. Her body feels hot and she can feel sweat trickle down her neck.

She grabs the note and with every move she makes her breath quickens. The note is soft to the touch and the black ink has run but only slightly. She opens it and her eyes carefully caress the strokes of the pen.

She began to read it, and then her world turned upside down.

The Perfect Life

Jodie St. Clair had a perfect life. A gorgeous and generous husband, three perfect children, and an incredible job. Yes, every day that Jodie woke up, she woke up with a smile plastered on her face.

Every time she poured her husband a coffee or kissed her kid’s goodbye, she did it with a smile. She thought nothing could ever go wrong. But she had no idea what was to come.

She Loved Her Job

Jodie had been a hairdresser for 20 years and she absolutely loved her job! She loved nothing more than engaging in chit chat with her customers, asking them about how their week has gone, or how their family is.

For Jodie, she thought every customer was the perfect customer. Little did she know how wrong she was.

Started As An Ordinary Day

One cold, miserable Monday morning Jodie started her day like every other. She opened the salon, came up with the work schedule, and started work on her first customer. It was a new lady who Jodie had never met before.

And so, as her customer, Ms. Martha Smith hurried in from the rain she sat down on the salon chair. There seemed to be a tension in her manner and a tightness in her face. Her eyes glared at Jodie while Jodie tried to make small talk with the woman.

What was her problem?

The Finished Look

Martha had asked for a simple cut and trim. Nothing too complex. And so, once Jodie was finished, she turned Martha around to show her new do.

Jodie was expecting a smile to finally creep across the old woman’s wrinkled skin, but her actual reaction was far from what Jodie had hoped for.
