Mixed Breed Animals That People Do Not Want You To Know About

At this point, most animal breeds are easy to identify. But sometimes, things can get a little complicated when two different species that shouldn’t have children together, do. It can have disturbing and exciting results.

Sometimes, their offspring can look like something out of a fantasy movie. Let’s look at a few new and strange breeds that have come from unlikely parents.

Liger

Our first hybrid is one of the most infamous. The liger is another large cat that looks like it could be the king of the jungle. They exist when male lions and female tigers mate.

Ligers are real giants, they are usually larger than lions ad tigers. But you won’t find these in the wild. They only exist in captivity because tigers and lions don’t naturally come across one another in the wild.

You might think that the beefalo sounds like something on the menu of a steakhouse, but the beefalo is a real farm animal! It is a cross between cattle and buffalo.

The animal was actually created by the government in an attempt to experiment with beef production. It is common in the US for wild buffalo to have some trace amounts of common cattle genetics.

Cama

Now, this animal has a face that only a mother could love! In general, camels aren’t known for their good looks, and neither are llamas. But this is what it looks like when they have a child together.

The cama was bred with a goal in mind. They were bred in order to get an animal with the strength of a camel while being a good pack animal, but with the temperament of a llama.

Zebroid

Now, this is a magical-looking animal that could be straight out of a fantasy movie. This is what you get when a male zebra mates with a female equine (mule, horse, etc.). This cannot occur naturally and usually involves human intervention.

They are usually the offspring of mules. No one really knows why they have been created, but perhaps it’s for their looks.
