Eddy Macintosh was a police officer that worked in Orleans Parish, Louisiana. He was born and raised in New Orleans and had been a deputy for more than ten years.

Eddy knew his county like the back of his hand. He knew what to expect, but what he encountered that morning made him question everything he knew.

An Ordinary Morning

It was just an average morning for Eddy. Winter came in full swing, and it was a freezing Tuesday morning. Eddie started his morning with a run and made his way home to get ready for work.

He put on his work clothes and drove to work. He decided to skip breakfast as he knew that he would be going for lunch after checking in at the station. He had no idea what the rest of the day would bring.

When he arrived at the station, there was nobody there. The day had only just begun, and many were still on their way to work.

Eddy went through his to-do list and got into the cruiser to do his rounds in town. If he didn’t encounter any problems he would be able to go grab a quick bite to eat.

Everything went smoothly, and he finished most of the patrol around ten. He felt thankful, knowing that he could go get food earlier as he was starving.
