Mom Finds Note In 5-Year-Old’s Lunchbox, Teacher Gets Fired The Next Day

She smiled when she opened her son’s lunchbox and saw the note she had left him that very morning, but then she did a double-take.

Her heart began to pound and her smile drooped downward when she saw another note — one that she definitely hadn’t written. And when she began to read it, her blood began to boil. Suddenly, her eyes hardened.

Someone was going to get fired for this, she vowed. She would make sure of it.

Trying Her Best

Texas resident Francesca Easdon was a devoted mother, but she knew all too well that parenting is not always a walk in the park. Her son, Kyler, had developed some extreme eating habits lately. First, he began to refuse to eat green vegetables.

And quickly, the list of what he would eat shrank alarmingly. Now, dinnertime at the Easdon household had become a nightmare. Francesca knew that her son’s picky eating habits had gone too far when he began to put on weight.

A Losing Battle

The more Francesca pushed against her son’s will, the more he pushed back. She knew she was fighting a losing battle. She was tired of spending every evening trying to goad his unadventurous tastebuds into submission.

She had tried bribery and she had tried to take a hard approach. Now, it was time for a change of tack.

Reaching A Compromise

Francesca did her research and decided to try and compromise with her strong-willed 5-year-old. She began to reintroduce healthier choices into his school lunchbox slowly.

She explained her predicament to his daycare, Rocking Horse Kingwood, and the staff seemed to understand. Or, at least they said that they did. But she never expected it all to blow up in her face.

Notes Of Encouragement

Every day, Francesca would write a little note of encouragement to her son and place it with his lunch. She did it to soften the blow of another of his favorite treats disappearing from his usual lunch rotation.

Twinkies and crisps were replaced with carrot fingers and egg salad sandwiches, and all seemed to be going well. Her son seemed to be making progress. Until one teacher lashed out and undid it all.
