It was the first week of the school year and Josette Duran was making lunch for Dylan, her son. But this time he asked a special request – could she make two lunches.

The two were living in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her 14-year-old son was bright and kind. He always got good grades and never got into trouble.

The two shared a special bond. They didn’t keep anything from each other. But when he asked her for two lunches she knew he wasn’t being honest.

She Loved Preparing Lunch For Him

Josette was happy to make her son lunches for her son every day. She always gave him a nice lunch like chips, a sandwich, something healthy, and a drink.

She actually looked forward to making her son lunch. She knew that she could guarantee that her son got the proper balance of nutrients.

It Was Always Enough

Josette knew that the portions she gave her son were more than enough to keep her son with a full tummy. He’d never said it wasn’t enough.

So when he asked her for two lunches it raised more questions in her mind. Dylan didn’t want to tell her the truth.
