Martha Kenny was excited for her son’s wedding. She lived in a quiet neighborhood in Fargo, North Carolina.

The 64-year-old hadn’t seen her son for four years. He moved to New York for his career and was always too busy to come back and visit.

Martha appreciated the fact that her son was doing well. She knew that New York wasn’t exactly a cheap place to live so she was sure he was at least quite successful.

Mark called her up one afternoon to tell her that he’d found “the one”. Martha was so happy for her son. But eventually she’d notice something about “the one”.

She loved getting called by Mark and hearing news that he had. This call was to tell her that they were getting married. Martha was over the moon.

She was excited for her son and even bought the perfect dress to go to the wedding in. Nothing too extravagant to overshadow the bride but still enough to turn a few heads. She didn’t know the dress would be the least of her concerns.
