They Were Close

For all her life, McKenna was privileged to have a close mother/daughter relationship with Deanna. But when it was time for McKenna to choose a college, Deanna was heartbroken when her New Yorker daughter wanted to go to Utah State University.

She hated the thought of McKenna moving across the country, but she knew that it was important for her to spread her wings and leave the nest.

She Had An Idea

It was the day before McKenna was supposed to head back to New York for the summer when Deanna had a great idea. She wanted to do something special for her daughter and decided to surprise her at college.
