Mom Turns Tables On Boss Who Told Her To Get Note From Doctor Or She Is Fired

Angela woke up that morning feelings worse than ever before. She knew she wouldn’t be able to make it to work that day. She made a quick call to her office to notify them of her illness, but her boss was not having it.

With the note firmly gripped between her fingers, she went into work and stormed into the boardroom. Her boss was sitting amongst his superiors, a horrified expression on his face when he noticed her. Things were going to get ugly.

Her Name Was Angela Thompson

Angela Thompson was a single mother. She had two daughters namely Emily, who was 5-yeards-old, and Sam, who was 3-years-old. Angela always wanted to have children and she loved being a mom to het two young daughters.

It was challenging, however, especially with her career

High-Stress Job

Angela worked a stressful job at a real-estate agency. She was one of the company’s top account executives. The pay was good, but it certainly wasn’t easy.

She sometimes struggled to balance her life as a hardworking businesswoman and a loving mom, but she loved what she did for a living and she had a lot of people around her that were always willing to help. Except for one person.

Overworked

It was obvious that she lived an extremely busy lifestyles. Every morning, she would drop her daughters off at daycare on her way to work, where they would stay until 3 pm, every single day of the week.

Her mom would collect them at 3 pm and take care of them until Angela would finish at work around 6 pm.

She was exhausted and overworked, so it was no surprise that her immune system started to decline.

Getting Sick

Angela woke up with one of the worst flus she had ever experienced. She immediately called her office and told them that she would not come in that day.

If Angela could change anything about her life, it would have been her boss, Steve. He treated everyone poorly, therefore she was prepared for him to react poorly to her call. But he didn’t just react poorly, he was completely outraged.
