Sailor Comes Home And Discovers His Wife’s HUGE Secret

The United States military defends the country day and night. Thousands are troops are deployed all over the world, keeping them far from their family and friends for months or even years at a time.

Such long separations can place a lot of strain on any relationship. Fortunately, the advances and development in technology have made it much easier for people to keep in touch. However, communication remains infrequent for a variety of reasons.

During these times of silence, it is easy for things to go wrong or change. Matthew Wilson is a Navy Sailor who learned that fact very well.

Family Comes Second

Matthew Wilson served on the USS Carl Vinson. He was deployed for six months. It was difficult for him to be so far from his family. He was married but like any marriage when in the military, the job and duty will always come first.

As difficult as life was as a result, Matthew felt that there was a bigger problem. Matthew knew that his wife Rebecca was hiding something from him. He didn’t know what it might be but whenever they talked he could feel it.

Their past had also been difficult so Matthew knew that he had reason to be concerned.

The Only Life He Knew

Matthew and Rebecca were high school sweethearts. To everyone who saw them, it seemed like they were living the American dream.

They had a house, a child, and had already been married for five years when he was deployed abroad for a third tour of duty. Life seemed perfect. That is until he came home to his worst nightmare. Rebecca was gone and had taken their son with them.

Slippery Slope

Rebecca could not take it anymore. She had packed her bags and moved away, back to her hometown and taken their son with her. When Matthew got home, he walked into a cold, empty home.

Rebecca felt that she could no longer deal with being left alone for weeks and months on end anymore. While Matthew had no choice in the matter, Rebecca had been left alone to deal with a newborn son for more than a year already.

Matthew understood how difficult it had been. They patched things up and had two more children together. However, he always remained nervous. Then a single phone call from a friend made his trust disappear again.

Deception And Lies

Matthew came from a broken home. His parents had divorced when he was still a child and it made him determined to not let his children experience the same thing. He, of all people, knew how difficult it was on children.

It seemed that he may not have a choice though. He knew he needed to do something. He was afraid that his wife’s lies and deception indicated that she might be cheating on him.

He hoped that he was wrong and that there was something they could do to fix the situation. There was no way for him to be prepared for the secret Rebecca was keeping.
