Every parent knows that leaving your home in the care of teenagers while going on holiday is a risky proposition. The children could possibly turn the house into a disaster area. House parties are a distinct probability and a mess inevitable.

Then you get the other side of the coin where the teens do something completely different. When these parents went away and left their home in the care of their children, the children had a special plan.

Getting Down To Business

When the Schoonover’s went on a vacation alone they were worried about leaving the house in the care of their kids. The kids, on the other hand, had a different plan in mind that would leave their parents reeling.

Dream Vacation

Karen and Chip Schoonover lived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, which most people would agree is an ideal vacation spot. Even so, the couple wanted to take a vacation on their own and decided to take a week-long trip in December.

Good Idea Or Bad Idea?

The couple discussed it and decided that their daughters had reached an age where they could be left alone in the home for a week.

What their daughters would do while they were gone, however, is something they could never have prepared themselves for.

The Four Hs

Karen and Chip decided to give each of their daughters a name beginning H. Thus their daughters, from oldest to youngest, were named Heather, Hollie, Halice, and Haley.

While their parents were busy preparing for their trip, the girls were making their own plans.
