But sadly, many people will often cross that line in order to do the weirdest s— without thinking of the consequences. Now most of you know that taking too many selfies is totally harmless, but it can also end your life if you’re not careful of your surroundings. Prabhu Bhatara spotted an injured bear in the Nabarangpur district of Odisha in India. Other passengers in the SUV he was riding in, suggested that he should take a selfie with the creature, so he approached it.
But shortly after, the bear lashed out and Bhatara was in for the fight of his life. Unfortunately, he didn’t survive the attack.
First Date Death

Cheynne Holloway’s long-distance boyfriend James Nichols flew from the UK to South Africa to go on their first date. But he didn’t realize that this would be his last time he’d see her.
The two decided to take a romantic selfie on Northcliff Hill, but the rock under Cheynne’s feet gave way and she fell 15 meters. Nichols, along with another witness, saw Holloway fall to her death.
Polish Couple Fell From A Cliff
In 2014, a Polish couple was visiting the west coast of Portugal. They stopped at Cabo da Roca and tried taking a selfie at a nearby cliff. They crossed a safety barrier and lost their footing, and unfortunately fell to their deaths.
The kids survived but were left orphaned and traumatized, as they witnessed their parents’ dying in front of them.
Man Shoots Himself By Accident
In 2014, a 21-year-old Mexican man named Oscar Aguilar took a selfie with a gun in his hand. Oscar’s Facebook page was littered with photos of selfies where he posed in front of expensive cars and beautiful women.
But he ended up fatally shooting himself by accident during his final selfie. Sadly, he may have been inebriated at the time.
