People Share the Most Epic Way They’ve Seen Someone Quit
Jobs don’t always go how we want them to, which is why we’re lucky enough to have the freedom to quit them. But it’s how it’s done that makes a great story.
Sure, we’re used to people handing in resignation laters or walking out with a simple “I quit,” but what about the more dramatic stories.
What about the people who leave presents behind for their ex-bosses, the ones that cause a scene you’d only see in a movie, and those who risk it all, just because they can.
The folks in out stories today have seen some of the most epic I quit moments in human history and they’re sharing it with us today. These are the epic ways people have quit their jobs.
In the Hoodie
I worked at a college bookstore and a coworker of mine quit because the manager was always mean to him. Before he left, he took one of the hoodies, pooped in the front pocket, then put it back on the rack.
Two days went by before anyone found the source of the smell.
Company Secrets
A coworker of mine quit, but before he did, he sent an email to every company worker spilling the secrets of all the managers, including what and who they did in the bedroom.
We learned that both married male managers (who were married to women) were hooking up with each other.
We also learned that one of the new girls liked to give one of those married managers mouth action and they frequently played with narcotics in the main boardroom after hours. All three of them quit before Monday came.
Jumping to Conclusions
One of my coworkers thought he was about to be fired, so after a few days of thinking about it, he marched into the manager’s office and proceeded to insult him for any and everything you could imagine.
He finished off by telling the manager that he could go to hell for wanting to fire him.
The manager, completely in shock, said he never wanted to fire the guy. The guy paused, grinned sheepishly, then said, “well, can I stay?” The manager, now furious, said, “get the hell out.”
The Spiritual Awakening
I worked at this super busy restaurant when I was in college. One night, our overwhelmed kitchen manager ripped his apron off and walked out.
A few months later, he walked in to speak to the owner and manager and said he completely blacked out and didn’t remember a thing.
He said he woke up on a park bench the next day, where he experienced a spiritual awakening, but he needed a month to really miss the job. He wasn’t rehired.
