Plumber Accepts Contract To Fix Bathroom, Finds This Inside Owner’s Home
Dana chose to become a nurse without knowing that her career choice would lead her to her soul mate. She had always been a socially awkward recluse who struggled to make friends.
With him, however, everything was simple. He never interrupted her and had a great ability to listen. He was always there for her, but obviously, it was because he was unconscious.
How They Met
Dana Wheatfield first met Grant at the local hospital’s trauma unit while she was finishing her nursing degree. When the ambulance arrived, she was in her final days working in the hospital.
She could still remember that evening as if it had happened yesterday. It was a rainy evening, and the roads were dangerous to drive on. He’d suffered a major head injury when the emergency responders rushed him in, a John Doe appeared to be in his mid-twenties.
A Simple Crush
Though it’s uncommon for professionals to build emotional bonds with their patients, it’s never impossible. The other nurses dubbed the man Grant, and Dana could not help but have a little crush on him.
She went back to the hospital with the intention of kickstarting her professional career. And who better than Grant, who was still in a coma, would the doctors refer her to?
Their Routine
Grant and Dana’s routine seemed straightforward enough. Her duties included shaving and cleaning him, as well as checking his vitals in the morning. In addition to checking his daily medication, she would ensure sufficient fluids and minerals were being consumed.
Dana began conversing with him to make things exciting and exciting as the routine became monotonous. But it was in these quiet chats that she’d discover something she’d never known before.
A Developing Relationship
Despite her quiet patient’s quiet manner, Dana felt an unspoken connection. With the passing months, as the minutes ticked by, she felt compelled to converse with him or listen to soothing music in his room.
Due to the lack of family or friends around, Dana was even more enamored with him. It would all come to an end one day, though.
