New Puppy In The House

Alhanna Butler and her soon-to-be husband Ricky Burdis adopted a beautiful American Akita puppy to grow their family. They got her in 2014 and brought her to their home in Doncaster South Yorkshire.

They were prepared to give their new companion all the love and attention she deserved. They just had no idea what kind of angel they brought home.

All Grown Up

After a year of having her around, she was now a fully grown dog. They affectionate called her their “bear” because she was bigger than both of them. Still, she was as sweet as ever.

Alhanna especially felt close to Keola, always cuddling her on the couch while they watched her favorite series. But some life-changing news was around the corner.

Baby On The Way

Alhanna realized she was pregnant in April 2015. They were so happy to have a new member to add to their family.

She knew that Keola was good with kids and would thus make a great big sister to their newborn. But it would soon be apparent that not everything was okay.

Strange Pains

Alhanna soon experienced terrible pain in her back and spine. The doctor assured her that it was just because of her pregnancy.

A growing baby can add a lot of weight and strain your spine and back. Alhanna was just happy that it wasn’t serious, but someone else wouldn’t believe that for one minute.
