Like any mother, she wanted nothing but the best for her kids. So, she dropped her kids off at school, and picked them up in the afternoons.

She was known for volunteering at the school on occasion. And everyone seemed to love her…until they realized who she was.

The famous Canadian serial killer even visited a classroom once to teach kids how to knit, and she had previously chaperoned some Kindergarten students during a field trip.

On one occasion, she had also brought her dog in for show-and-tell. And not once did she give anyone a reason to fear her. After all, she was just a mom, right?

Not being a full-time volunteer had some minor drawbacks. “She is not a regular volunteer, and can never be alone with any children, either in school or churches,” Stan Jensen, a spokesperson for Seventh-Day Adventist Church told CityNews. But parents had a right to be concerned.
