Leopard Carrying Its Prey

One of nature’s most vicious hunters, tearing through the jungle and taking life to further its own, is depicted in this incredibly sad image.

The leopard is probably using the baby monkey as bait to attract more tasty primates, so it isn’t just being cruel for the sake of being cruel to it.

As bizarre as it may sound, that is one way leopards hunt.

Glowing Gator Eyes

This photograph, which was taken in April 2022 at Big Cypress National Preserve by Bobby Wummer, depicts a horrifying number of alligators with glowing eyes waiting for a meal to wander into their watery nest.

It turns out that the glow in their eyes is a result of Wummer’s flash, not a natural one.

Close Up of a Lion’s Tongue

The tongue of a lion is not dissimilar to the tongue of any other mammal; it is simply bigger and much coarser than the tongue of the typical house cat.

The tongue of a lion is used to remove feathers and fur from its prey in addition to cleaning its own fur. That tongue should never be close to your face.

Underwater Anaconda

Although this enormous snake appears to belong in a horror movie, it is actually very, very real. In Brazil’s Formosa River’s crystal-clear waters, divers can get a close-up view of these enormous anacondas (yes, there are several of them).

They are inhabitants of South America’s murky waters.
