Date or Ditch? How to Pick a Guy Who Isn’t Total Garbage
Here are the reasons why you should date a guy (or not)
You don’t always know what a guy is thinking, especially when you’ve recently started dating. You don’t even know if you’re actually dating or just “hanging out”.
Sometimes, particularly at the beginning of a relationship, you’re not sure if your crush really wants to date you or if he’s just looking for a little action. Other times, you’re the one who’s indecisive about their true feelings.
Is he actually worth the trouble, or should you get back on Tinder? If you need a little help navigating the situation, check out this list of reasons why you should date a guy, and why you need to GTFO, now!
Date: You Can Be Yourself Around Him

You know that a guy is worthy of a second, third, and fourth date if he knows all of your quirks, and he still likes you. You certainly don’t want to date someone you can’t be yourself around. When it comes to dating, you should never pretend to be someone else just so you can keep him from walking out the door.
Ditch: He’s A Serial Cheater

He cheated on his ex, so don’t expect him to be loyal to you just because you’re one incredible boss ass bit–.
You know the adage, “once a cheater, always a cheater.” It’s nice that he decided to be honest about it, but you need to come to terms with the very real possibility that he might stray again when he isn’t getting the attention he needs.
You’ll spend your whole relationship wondering if he’s cheating on you.
Date: He’s Honest

You ask him a question and he doesn’t answer with an autopilot response like “aha”. He doesn’t beat around the bush either. He says what he means, and he’s really transparent about his feelings.
His forward nature makes him a total keeper in our book, because honesty is the foundation of any relationship. It shows he has integrity, and that he respects and values you. These are major pluses on your checklist.
Ditch: Your Friends Don’t Like Him

If your friends don’t like the guy you’re dating, they might be seeing something that you can’t because you’re head over heels in love. Love is blind, but your friends aren’t.
If you decide to date the guy anyway, then you’re going to have a lot of issues with your friends further down the line. Make sure to listen to those who’ve known you the longest. There may be something to it.
