Saleswoman Demands to Speak to Deceased Homeowner, Devastated Daughter Follows Through
When Gloria tried to cancel her deceased father’s utilities, she was met with confusion and frustration from the utilities company that left her feeling angry. After a clerical error threatened to make the process even more difficult, Gloria took action in a way that she would later regret.
But, the moment was one that the company’s supervisor would never, ever forget.
A Special Bond
Gloria and her father were very close while she was growing up, but when her parents got divorced, she and her father drifted apart. Because she wasn’t able to see him as often as she would have liked, she felt like she missed out on many monumental father-daughter moments.
And when he passed, she didn’t expect what kind of a toll it would take on her.
He Was Taken From Her Too Soon
When Gloria’s father passed away on Father’s Day in 2012, she was heartbroken, and this left her nearly unable to function.
But, thanks to her support team of friends and family, she was able to bounce back from that dark moment in her life, even if it did come with a few stories that she would like to forget.
She Was Strong and Independent
Although Gloria had already moved away from her parents and graduated college, the heartbreak of her father’s passing left her devastated, which caused her to not think as clearly as she used to.
Gloria was suddenly more prone to anger and lashing out at people she knew, even though she felt guilty about it afterwards.
Now, She Had to Pick up the Pieces
Gloria’s mother accompanied her to her father’s funeral and provided the moral support she needed to get past the horrible event. But, the funeral wouldn’t be the bookend to this tragic moment in Gloria’s life.
In order to move on, she needed to get her father’s affairs in order, which included taking care of his house.
