Neighbor Shocked to Discover Why His Older Neighbor Has Been So Secretive About His Pool

Jimmy knew that his neighbor Jack hated to answer questions about the empty pool in his backyard. The rest of Jack’s house was immaculate, but the pool was overgrown with algae and mold and hadn’t been cleaned in years.

Jimmy couldn’t help but try to sneak a peak inside of his neighbor’s pool when he was away.

Inside the pool wasn’t water, it was totally empty expect for a few cardboard boxes. As Jimmy tried to get a closer look at the contents of the boxes, he suddenly heard his neighbor’s car pulling into the driveway. What was his neighbor hiding in his pool? And why was he so secretive about it?

Neighbors Jack and Jimmy Were Close Friends

Jack and Jimmy lived next door to each other in the small but beautiful town of Hamilton, Vermont. They were both married with kids and had similar jobs. As soon as they met each other, they hit it off instantly.

Jack was a couple decades older than Jimmy but the age gap didn’t prevent them from developing a close bond.

Their Families Did Everything Together

Because Jimmy and Jack were such good friends, their families became close friends as well. They did almost everything together. They celebrated holidays together, went on vacations together, even attended church together.

It seemed like there was nothing these two men didn’t know about each other. But Jack had a secret.

Jack Kept a Secret from Jimmy

For years, despite all the time they spent together and all the things they told each other, Jack kept a secret from Jimmy. In fact, he kept the secret from everyone, including his own family. When Jack’s secret was revealed, it would shock everyone he knew, especially Jimmy.

Jack Had One Strange Rule

Despite their families spending so much time together and despite Jack and Jimmy being such close friends, Jack had one strange rule: nobody was allowed in his pool. Not Jack’s kids, not his friends, not even Jimmy. Jack always said that his pool wasn’t safe.

Nobody quite knew what that meant but they gave up trying to use the pool because the topic always made Jack angry.
