It was a cold Tuesday morning when the little brown animal came running up to Mike, clearly pleading for his help. Having worked as a veterinarian before, he knew exactly what to do to nurse the baby back to health.

Mike did everything he could for the little animal. He prepped a shoebox with towels and clothes and fed the baby formula with a pipette. Day by day, the little animal seemed to do better, but one morning Mike woke up, and the baby was gone.

Stress filled Mike’s body; he couldn’t bear losing the little animal that needed more help. There was no other choice but to search in his garden and the forest surrounding it. Mike did exactly that for hours when he spotted a squirrel in the distance.

Not wasting a minute, Mike sprinted up to the animal, and he was surprised to see that it looked exactly like the squirrel that had brought her baby to him. Coming closer, he was sure it was the same squirrel.
