He listened silently as she told him what the teacher had done to his grandson. His facial expression didn’t change but his mind was filled with thoughts.

As the very last world left her mouth, he hung up on her. He didn’t know what was about to happen, but he knew he had to do something about this. He grabbed his keys and headed for his car.

Malcolm Bedford never questioned his daughter. She could do no wrong in his eyes. He was happy for her when she met her partner, BaeLa, he was grateful that Zach would have another loving parental figure at home.

Malcolm accepted that Zach now had two moms, so it’s safe to say that he was an open-minded man. But he couldn’t stand for what the school was doing behind their backs. They took it too far.

Kayla Bedford did her research. She researched every single school in Wichita, Kansas. She wanted the perfect fit for her little son, and she found it in Bethany Early Childhood Center.

Her and BaeLa wanted the very best for two-year-old Zach. The classes were small and the the school followed strict Christian values, it was perfect.

Best Choice

Zach was the only African America child in his entire class, but that didn’t stop Kayla from thinking that the school was her best choice. She wasted no time when it came to signing the paperwork and enrolling him into his new school.

She had no idea what controversy the school would cause. It wouldn’t be long until other parents would grow suspicious of the school, too.

Just a few months later, things were going great at school. Zach had many friends and he loved all of his teachers.
