Teen Prepares for Homecoming When She Gets Unforgettable ‘Thank You’ for Her Good Deed
Any parent would be happy and proud to see their children growing up to be kind, who care about the people around them. And that’s exactly how all families around the world felt when they got to see this teenager’s story.
It all started with a homecoming dance, which for high-schoolers, it’s like a rite of passage to growing older enough to attend such a party.
But Daniel Rivas found out he couldn’t go to the dance because none of the girls in his class wanted to be his dance partners. But as soon as sophomore Kylie Fronius heard about it, she stepped in.
Little did she know that Daniel and her would get a huge surprise!
An Important Moment

The best party ever, homecoming means dancing, having fun with friends, and getting dressed up. Daniel was excited to attend the dance, but he didn’t have a date. What makes his story heart-breaking?
Daniel has Down syndrome, and that’s why nobody wanted to be his date. Nonetheless, the news that he couldn’t get to the dance would be crushing for any teenager willing to just have some fun…
That’s Just Mean!

When word got around the school from Las Vegas that Daniel was rejected, Kylie Fronius would hear none of it. Thinking it would be mean to deprive a person from having a good time, she made up a plan. The internet is filled with “promposals,” so she did exactly that.
The whole moment was uploaded on social media and it went viral!
Waiting for Her Date

Standing by the school’s campus, Kylie was holding a sign asking Daniel if he wanted her as a date for the prom. Her friends filmed the “promposal” and posted it online. Overwhelmed with emotion, Daniel said a happy “yes,” and hugged Kylie.
They had no idea what would happen soon afterwards!
Tell Us More!

As soon as Fox5 News saw the story, they knew the pair deserved a lot more than cheers and praise. They showed up and interviewed the Homecoming pair and asked them about their plans. Thousands of people saw the broadcast – winning their hearts.
When the reporters asked Daniel how excited he was – on a scale of one through ten, to go to the dance with Kylie, he said: “18!”
