Tenant Records Landlord In Her Flat Without Her Permission

There were a lot of things to worry about and a lot of them were in her head.

She decided to press play and watch anyway, knowing that it would be bad. What she saw gave her chills as she ran to her door and locked it. She didn’t want to leave her apartment anymore.

Hard Market

Emily Townsend hated hearing about the housing market.

She worked two jobs and had to pay for her schooling and the gas for her old and fuel-inefficient car. But at least she had a basement apartment with very reasonable rent.

Great For Starting Out

It was a great place for the 24-year-old. It was a one-bedroom place with a small kitchenette.

Her landlord gave her the place with only a few rules – don’t break anything, don’t be loud, and pay on time. Emily was happy, it was a great start for her. But something else was going to happen that she could never have expected.

Going To Work

Emily made herself a chai latter and took in the fresh morning air. She had to get to work,

As she locked her door she had a feeling that something was behind her. As she whirled around to confront them it was her landlord.

Machine Problems

She apologized for startling her and asked if his wife could check one of the walls in her room.

They had a leak upstairs and wanted to make sure that it hadn’t affected the wall. She thought it was considerate that he asked first. But things were strange when she came back home.
