These Store Clerks Saved The Day With Their Quick Thinking
Everyone knows the saying. “the customer is always right” but is the customer really always right? Based on this list of customer complaints, it’s safe to say that this saying isn’t always true.
These are some of the worst customers that employees have had to deal with.
Rude And Impatient
Most people in retail jobs have witnessed the pain of getting to work and seeing a customer already waiting outside of the store. These customers usually think they can just walk into the store, despite the fact that many places need to set up before they can start letting customers in.
But most people don’t get that some places need this time to set up. These customers are rude and impatient and will knock on the door until someone opens the store for them, but there are even worse situations that employees have had to deal with.
Calling The Manager
Then you get the super unreasonable customers who will continue to fight with you, even when they’re in the wrong.
These customers always seem to ask for the manager, and once the manager gets involved, these employees could end up getting into more trouble.
Scanner Not Working
Most people know how horrible it is when you try to scan something and it won’t scan.
After the third failed attempt, the customers will smile at you and say, “It won’t scan, that means it’s free, right?” With a wide grin.
Bad Intentions
One customer that most employees fear is one with bad intentions. We’ve all heard of people that leave with their food and then return to the restaurant claiming that they had items missing from their bag. This is usually referred to as the drive-thru bandit.
With no evidence, it’s hard for the restaurant to prove that the customer is lying and they are forced to give away free items.
