This 80 Year Old Man Has Not Taken A Bath In 60 Years. Just Wait Till You See Him… Whoa.
Most people can’t go more than a day without taking a shower. There’s nothing a hot shower can’t fix after a whole day of working or being outside. Some people, however, prefer not to shower for their own reasons.
You would be surprised what this 80-year-old Iranian man has been doing for the last 60 years. And he is not the only one who has adopted this strange habit…
Amou Haiji
Amou Haiji is an 80-year-old man from Iran who lives in a small village called Dejgah. He is known as the dirtiest man in the world. He recently told the Tehran Times that he hasn’t showered in 60 years!
And his explanation is simple: he claims that cleanliness will make him ill. Not only does he avoid cleaning himself, but even the thought of taking a bath makes him very irritated.
Living in Isolation
Amou makes sure to drink over a gallon of water every single day and eat rotten porcupine meat. Along with tobacco, he smokes animal feces. When Amou does choose to smoke regular cigarettes, he smokes five at a time!
He has suffered emotional setbacks during his youth, which resulted in an extreme lifestyle change. Amou has adopted an isolated lifestyle and seems to be enjoying it to the fullest.
But there’s more to this strange case…
He Doesn’t Listen to Anyone
Whenever someone asks Amou to drink clean water and eat regular food, he gets angry. The man knows that he is covered in a very thick layer of dirt and dust, but it doesn’t seem to bother him in the slightest.
How could someone live like this for decades? Well, Amou has his reasons, but the majority of people don’t share his opinion. The man doesn’t mind being dirty as long as it means one thing.
He Wants to Stay Healthy
Amou believes his layer of dirt will keep him healthy and prolong his life. The man is almost the same color as earth to the point that he completely blends in with his surroundings.
In fact, it’s pretty easy to mistake him for a pile of dirt on the ground if he doesn’t move. Amou used to live in normal conditions in the village with his family, although his obsessive thinking eventually took over his life…
