Tiger Won’t Stop Bowing When Kid Walks By — Then The Zookeepers Explain The Sad Reason Why

The parents of this young girl were in awe when they passed by the tiger enclosure with their daughter. Usually, the majestic Bengal tigers were peacefully snoozing at a safe distance. However, as soon as their daughter approached the enclosure, one tiger sprung to attention.

He continued to trail behind the girl and even began to bow when she stood near the window. But what the animal did next made even the zoo’s personnel gasp…

She Got Close to the Glass

Mandy’s parents watched as her daughter walked up to the glass wall of the tiger exhibit. Their daughter wanted to play with the huge animal as if it was the family dog, and she was disappointed that she couldn’t pet the tiger.

As she started to get frustrated, the tiger slowly walked up to the glass and looked back at the little girl…

She Just Wanted to Play

Mandy then started to run across the length of the tiger’s cage, laughing and yelling as she ran. Her parents knew that she wasn’t trying to start a commotion, but she certainly got the attention of other guests and a few of the zoo’s employees.

Surely this wouldn’t be an issue at the zoo, but one employee seemed to be more concerned than annoyed with her behavior.

Other Families Started to Look

Mandy’s parents started to get anxious when other parents started to look their daughter’s way to see what was going on.

Mandy was just enjoying her time at the zoo like any child should.

They ultimately decided to step in when the tiger’s behavior changed from inquisitive to downright aggressive.

The Tiger Jumped Up

Mandy was in the middle of trying to play peek-a-boo with the tiger behind the glass when suddenly the tiger leaped towards the glass forcefully.

To the other spectators, the action seemed aggressive, but it looked to Mandy’s parents like the animal was trying to mimic their daughter’s game.

They decided to step in, not to protect the daughter from the animal, but to protect themselves from the other parents’ judgements.
