Man Changes Tip After Seeing Waiter’s Reaction

The waiter told them to go to a different table with a stone-cold expression on his face. They could tell he wasn’t happy about something.

Maurice gave people the benefit of the doubt. He wanted to make the waiter’s day for he tipped him well. But things wouldn’t pan out the way he thought they would. What the waiter would do would create tension and doubt.

Maurice Green was tired after work and got through the cold rain to Don Pablo’s to treat his family.

Most people would prefer to stay indoors and make a homecooked meal instead of going out in the rain. But Maurice was an exception.

Food Lover

Maurice was a man that loved going out anywhere. One of his favorite things to do was to go visit all the different restaurants and treat his family at the same time. And living in Dallas, Texas there were plenty of places to pick from.

Don Pablo offered Mexican cuisine which Maurice loved. He had to try the place. But he had no idea that something would spoil his time.

Self Seated

He and his family arrived at the restaurant and waited around for a waiter. Then his daughter pointed out the “seat yourself” sign and he felt embarrassed.

He laughed it off with his daughter as they found a table and sat down. A waiter hurriedly approached them and said “You can’t sit there. Do you mind switching to this table?”.

Uprooted

He took them to a smaller table nearby and they all sat down as he gave them the menu and asked if they’d like something to drink.

Maurice could tell when someone wasn’t having a good day and clearly that was the case for the waiter. He didn’t smile when he talk the orders and left without another word.
