So what’s her secret to travel the world on an insanely small budget?
A Tough Start

When Elona Karafin was 10, doctors diagnosed her with bone cancer. She underwent treatment for two painful years. But today, Karafin is a 24-year-old woman who’s living life under her terms. She’s happy, healthy and doing something most of us only dream of.

As a cancer survivor, Karafin will never forget what it was like to undergo treatment, nor the painful realization that life really is so fragile.
She also understands that everyone is dealing with something that can act like a doorstop and prevent them from traveling. But Karafin thinks it doesn’t have to be that way.
She Didn’t Want To Wait

“I don’t want to waste away my youth and I don’t want others to waste away their youth,” Karafin told Independent. She wants people to know that not having enough money or time is simply no excuse. Not only are there tons of ways to save cash, but there’s always a way if you’ve got the will to do it.
Weekends Are For Traveling

Karafin’s weekends aren’t spent the way most people spend them. She actually packs her bags and takes off to exotic locations like Geneva, Lisbon, Hong Kong and Bali.
But she doesn’t limit her travels to international destinations either.
