Historic shipwrecks are attractive to archaeologists because they preserve a good amount of historical information.

It has been estimated that there have been about three million shipwrecks worldwide and some of them have been really helpful so as to get to know our past better. Some stories are extremely interesting.

Lake Van is the is the largest lake in Turkey and lies in the far east of that country in the provinces of Van and Bitlis. Its high salinity prevents most of it from freezing and lets only a few forms of life live there!

For over 100 years it was believed that a monster lived down the Van Lake. Some people claim that have even seen it flowing around the water!
