61-year old, Brisbane native, Harry Speath, never wished or thought that this nightmare would become his reality, but on December 14th, 2014, it did, and for three years, he had to live with the fact that his 5-year-old girl, Serena and a 4-year old boy, Thomas, were now missing.

One Sunny Afternoon

On that fateful afternoon, Harry went to get his children at his ex-wife, Jane Adare’s, house as per their custody agreement. After walking to the door, he rang the doorbell and waited with excitement to greet his two bundles of joy.

Little did he know that he would be waiting for quite some time as no one would ever come to answer the door.

His first thought was that the doorbell might not have been working, so he began knocking on the door. But again, several minutes went by, and no one came to the door. It was then that Harry started to think that something might be wrong.

Going Back to School

The next day, Mr. Speath went to his children’s school to question the administrator and to hopefully catch a glimpse of his kids running to class. It was there that he learned some extremely devastating news.

He never thought that he would find himself in that situation. The harsh reality was going to hit hard, and he was going to have to find a way to deal with it.
