Man Finds Animal Stuck In Net, Steps In To Help
Eric tried to remain calm for the next ten seconds of this do-or-die situation. This animal would put up a fight if it needed to.
He knew what had to be done and took a calming breath. He carefully crept across the room to the animal while he held a knife in his hand. It was now or never.
Love For Animals
His hometown in Montgomery, Alabama, nearby diverse wildlife, contributed to his fascination with animals. He had wanted as many pets as his parents would allow while growing up.
As he grew into adulthood, his job as a veterinarian called to him. Getting him there had taken a great deal of work and passion, but it was worth it until it wasn’t.
A Veterinarian
Eric Jackson had become an accomplished veterinarian who often worked with severe cases. He was continuously discouraged from getting attached to the animals he worked with, but in cases like these, he couldn’t help it.
With every heartbreak he felt at seeing the animals coming through the doors, he knew that their recovery would mean the world to him. He would never expect his love for animals to be what brought him down.
A Big Heart
Everyone who knew Eric would say that he had a heart of gold, treating all his loved ones the best he could and with a sense of empathy, but he would also do anything and everything to save an animal’s life.
It was surprising how he managed to maintain a relationship with his partner when he was also capable of maintaining relationships with the six stray dogs her adopted. He could never have known where his compassion would take him.
Living Near A Lake
Eric lived modestly in a house in the middle of a substantial plot. He had a boathouse for docking small boats because he lived near the lake’s edge.
Eric had bought the land with the structures, seemingly built in the 60s or 70s, already there. Eric didn’t go to the boathouse often.
