Woman Falsely Accused Of Shoplifting at Walmart Claps Back

Lesleigh Nurse was a resident from Alabama who frequented her local Walmart store and paid for her groceries using the self-checkout. On this particular day, she scanned her items correctly and thought she had done the payment process right.

But the self-checkout machine froze before she left.

She was pulled aside just as she was about to leave the store and accused of shoplifting. Despite her explanations about what had happened and how the machine had frozen, the store’s employees had her arrested.

But they didn’t know they were making a huge mistake.

Lesleigh had grown to love the air, the vast fields, and especially the welcoming people of her hometown. She had spent her whole life in Alabama and now worked in a call center. She had married at a young age but couldn’t have children.

She now lived alone in a modest apartment after separating from her husband. Despite her age, she was used to doing everything on her own inside or outside the house.

Although she lived alone, she was never lonely as she had made many friends through the years. Everyone thought of her as the most likable person, but that would soon change. She would quickly be seen as the enemy.

She had become a community pillar whereby everyone loved her. She had often volunteered in neighborhood organizations.

It was no surprise that everyone was shocked when the Walmart situation happened. They would never have thought she could do anything like that, and they didn’t believe the accusations.

But it didn’t matter what they believed because she wasn’t let off the hook.

A Loyal Customer

The local Walmart was close to home for Lesleigh, so she always shopped there. It also had great prices and deals.

She had never expected this awful shopping experience. The staff didn’t treat her very well even though she was one of their most loyal customers.

However, their understanding of the situation was valid, considering they thought the woman had shoplifted. But was that true?
