Woman Bands Boy From Playgroup Over Shirt But Has No Idea Who His Mom Is

She glared down at her phone as her blood began to boil. She couldn’t believe what she read, “He can’t wear that shirt to our group again!

Or we won’t be setting up anymore play dates.”

She was so angry that all she wanted to do was respond with an equally infuriating text. Her fingers were aching to type her counter-attack. How could this be happening, all because of a shirt?

Social Events

Chelsea and her son both valued their playdates, especially since lockdown had put their social lives on pause.

Not only were the children able to see their friends, the moms were able to socialize with each other and form their own friendships. Everyone in the group got along with one another, except for two of the women. One of these women decided to make herself the “queen” of the playground.

Casual Texts

Chelsea was enjoying her first cup of coffee for the day as she sorted through her daily schedule.

Her phone beeped, indicating that she had a text. She glanced at the screen and rolled her eyes when she saw it was a message from the “queen” (henceforth known as Karen). At first, the text messages were light with small talk, but soon, Karen revealed why she was really texting.

Annoyed And Confused

Chelsea frowned when Karen’s new text came in. It read, “Well, the other day at playgroup, I was a bit… Unimpressed with what [your son] was wearing.”

Chelsea pinched at the bridge of her nose and closed her eyes as she tried to remember what shirt her son was wearing on that day. She sighed when she realized what shirt it was. She was annoyed and confused now.

She quickly typed her reply, “What’s wrong with it?”

Ridiculous Issue

Karen informed her that the shirt was rude and demeaning to boys and men.

This confused Chelsea even more as she responded with, “But you have a daughter.” This was ridiculous. Karen’s daughter and Chelsea’s son were the same age, and neither of them could even read yet. More attacks followed.
