Woman Cleans Out Husband’s Workshop at Age 82 And Discovers He’s Been Lying About Everything

Betty softly opened the huge, creaking door to the workshop, and dust whirled about, casting weird rays of light throughout the room. Betty heaves a sigh of relief as she realizes it is Saturday morning. Right now is when she needs to take action.

We need the workshop to be completely empty, with all of the things sold. Since her late spouse left her with no assets, she needs the money severely.

But the thing Betty found out about her late spouse that morning changed her life entirely.

Getting Into The Workshop

Betty stepped inside Wilbert’s workshop and was immediately struck by how untidy the space was. Dust was everywhere except for one little area on the floor next to the workstation, as if something had been moved there recently.

She looked around, noticing tools lying around haphazardly and the walls were in desperate need of a coat of paint. It was clear that the workshop hadn’t been kept up in a while.

Something Had Been Moved

This was not what Betty had expected. Wilbert was always so meticulous about his work, but it seemed he hadn’t been keeping up with his workshop. She looked around for clues of what had been moved and why, but found nothing.

She thought about asking Wilbert about it, but decided it was better to mind her own business. Whatever had been moved was none of her concern.

A Hidden Trapdoor

Betty was amazed when her son Mike helped her move the bench into the dust-free area on the ground. To her surprise, a trapdoor was revealed underneath it. She had no idea this was here. Mike opened it up and the two of them peered in. What was hidden behind it left them both in awe.

There was a secret staircase that spiraled down into the darkness below.

Secret Room

With a bit of trepidation, the two of them descended down the steps. To Betty’s amazement, the staircase ended in a secret room. As they looked around, they were both filled with wonder. Betty was in disbelief at what she had found. Mike was just as astonished.

She had no idea such a secret room even existed.
