Woman Discovers Why New Dog Will Not Stop Waking Her
Tears stained their cheeks as the family sat close together, praying that it would all be over soon. She couldn’t believe what had just happened, her head felt dizzy. It all happened so fast.
Her stomach twisted into a tight knot. All they could do right now was sit and wait until someone gave them the all-clear. She pulled her children closer, but then she realized that one of them wasn’t there.
New Member Of The Family
Amelia happily cuddled her new, 10-year-old Dachshund as they watched the news together. His name was Poco and she was delighted to have him in the house.
No one would really think to adopt such an old dog, but it felt right to Amelia. She was excited to make his last few years as luxurious as possible. But soon enough, she would discover just how important he was to her family.
Hadn’t Heard Before
Amelia liked nighttime the most. She liked how quiet her southern Belfast house was during this time. As usual, the kids were fast asleep and Poco was snoring quietly.
She smiled and gave him a gentle pat before making her way upstairs. But she had barely even pulled the covers up when she heard something she had never heard before. The sound was enough to make her jump out of her skin.
He Was Barking
The sounds were coming from Poco. He was barking, but it wasn’t just a small yip at a loud neighbor. Poco was going out of his mind!
Since they had gotten him a few weeks ago, he had always been calm and quiet. Amelia’s heart was racing as she ran down the stairs and picked him up. She then flipped all of the lights. What was making him act this way?
She Was Annoyed
Amelia made sure that there were no animals outside and no people walking by their home. She checked every door and window, trying to figure out what was going on.
She stood still in the middle of the dark living room, her heart pounding as she sighed. Soon, her panic was replaced by annoyance. She looked at Poco and asked him, “Going crazy in your old age?” But she was about to see how wrong she was.
