Woman Takes Horse To The Vet And Leaves With A Bodyguard
Going to the vet seemed to be her best option. She sat in the reception with her daughter as she waited. Her heart was pounding and she was counting the seconds as they passed.
Eventually, the vet came out of their office. She noticed the serious look on his face as she got up from her seat. She immediately asked him how the horse was doing. But his response made her heart stop.
Madeline
For her entire life, Madeline had loved animals. She grew up on a farm in North Carolina. By the time she was four years old, she already knew how to ride a pony.
When Madeline welcomed her daughter, Suzy, into the world, she knew she wanted her to grow up the same way she did. That was why she decided to buy a home in the countryside. But she had no idea what was in store for her.
New Home
Madeline loved being back in the countryside. It was exactly as she remembered it and it brought back a lot of old memories. It made her heart swell. Once they were all settled in, it was time for her to take Suzy to the ranch and for her to pick a pony.
Suzy quickly ran into the green fields surrounding them. There was a herd of mustangs lazing in the field. She excitedly pointed at a chestnut-colored one and smiled in excitement as she jumped up and down. But Madeline instantly noticed something strange about the horse.
Blue Eyes
The horse had amazing, starling blue eyes. The closer they got, the brighter her eyes appeared to be. Suzy was beside herself with excitement as she exclaimed, “Her eyes look like stars, mom!
Let’s call her Starlight.”
Madeline wanted Suzy to pick a pony, not a horse! But she could see how happy Suzy was with the horse How could she take that away from her?
Sceptical
That day, Madeline and Suzy returned home with Starlight. But Madeline couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t right.
She noticed that Starlight was a lot calmer than any other Mustang she had ever seen before. She was also a lot smaller than the rest, and she had lush, soft hair. Why on earth did the ranch sell her for Madeline’s proposed price? It just didn’t add up!
