A Getaway

Erica had intended to have a little getaway with her husband of 20 years when she made the decision to travel to the idyllic country of Switzerland.

The couple’s trip had been spectacular, and they had virtually seen everything that the wonderful country had to offer. Erica and her husband experienced a lot of amazing things, but one thing, in particular, stuck out from the rest: a fantasy home on an island.

She Had Done It All

The life of Erica Johannson was that of an everyday university professor/novelist living in sunny San Francisco with her dog Pally and daughter Kris.

Making A Joke

Erica initially came upon the lovely home while traveling around the nation with her deceased husband, Paul. The two were young and still had their entire lives ahead of them.

Erica laughed as Paul joked about coming back one day to buy the house. As she looked at her husband, she thought he was trying to make a joke. What she didn’t know was what was really going on.

The residence in question was a charming home on a steep cliff of a deserted Swiss island. It had a wood and stone façade, and layers of rags covered the interior.
