Woman Who Remained Behind To Take Photos Of Charging Bear Learns Mistake
He ran towards the open space, through the woods, where people had parked. The tourists were trying to escape, some taking cover in their locked cars hoping for the best. It was apparent that there had been danger lurking.
The ranger had his gun with him because it had been grizzly bear territory, but he wasn’t planning on using it unless completely necessary. He sprinted through the scattering tourists and the people in their cars, but he saw something that caught him dead in his track.
Protect And Respect
His only purpose in life, ever since a young age, Brody wanted to be a Park Ranger. He spent many hours working hard to realize his dream, and he went on to train as a ranger.
He began surveying and protecting visitors at the Yellowstone National Park. He was in charge of maintaining order but on that day he learnt that Mother Nature demands respect.
A Botanist And A Zoologist
Brody had only been a typical 29-year-old from Wyoming, USA. He spent most of his time outside, where he felt most at peace.
Brody’s parents played a significant role in his career choice. His mother had been a botanist and his father a zoologist, a career in biology made perfect sense for their only child. He wanted to protect animals and nature from people with ill intent.
However, on the day of the incident he had to do something he never wanted to.
Magical Childhood
He had heard the most magnificent stories about Yellowstone as a child. His father would tell him about the wildlife he had been examining in the park and stories of the day. His dad ensured that his childhood had been full of magic.
His dad, however, constantly reminded him to take care when working with animals. Wild animals remain unpredictable.
He had recalled the many cautionary tales he had heard about grizzly bears
Apex Predator
Grizzly bears can weigh up to 1700 pounds, and with a height of five feet, they rank just below the Polar Bear in their viciousness. Out of the 3 North American Bear species, the grizzly came in second place.
Grizzlies are at the top of the food chain and can climb trees, swim, and outrun humans on foot. There would be no way out if you happened to aggravate this deadly Predator .
