Girl, What Were You Thinking?! These Looks From “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3” Made Us Gag (But Not In The Good Way)

The queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3 are fierce and fabulous. But that doesn’t mean they’re flawless. These girls showed us plenty of charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent. But they also showed us a lot of bad taste.

So RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3 proved once again that its contestants are sickening (in the good way). But the worst Drag Race queens looks from AS3 were just sickening (in the bad way). And this season with all its twists had us gagging (in the good way). But these looks from the season just had us gagging (in the bad way).

Shangela – Episode 3, Wigs On Wigs On Wigs

Even Shangela knew this look was tough to swallow. In a lot of ways, Shangela is like a little kid who tells a genuinely funny joke once and gets a laugh, then does nothing but tell that same joke for the next three to 15 weeks.

Much like how once Shangela popped out of a box ao then boxes became her thing for the better half of a decade, once upon a time she carried some corn down the runway and now she just can’t let it go.

Morgan McMichaels – Episode 1, Entrance Looks

Ugh! What is happening here? Everything about this look is gross and unflattering. Dark nude tights with light shoes. No! See-through dress over your mom’s underwear from 1987. No! Bolt of shimmery cloth masquerading as a shapeless shawl. No!

Heavy eye makeup and heavy wig. No! Morgan is trying so hard to be young and memorable. But she’s just coming across as your aging aunt who is trying too hard and still doing a lot of cocaine.

Aja – Finale, Jury Of Queer Peers

This was a fun idea, but it just looks a little sloppy. Obviously, this was supposed to be some kind of deconstructed business-jacket couture, but it just would have looked better if the whole thing was tighter.

I mean Violet Chachki, latex paint, corseted-to-the-gods tighter. This look should have hurt a little to wear. Instead, it just hurt to look at.

Chi Chi DeVayne – Episode One, Entrance Look

Oh, Chi Chi DeVayne, what are we going to do with you? I think it’s fair to give Chi Chi the benefit of the doubt and say that she was purposefully making a reference to her Season 8 garbage bag entrance look by showing up in this trash.

But if she was going to do it she should have made it incredible. Instead, Chi Chi made her grand RPDR return in a leotard with garbage bag embellishments and an actual paper top hat. I’m sorry, is this Party City?
