The Week 9 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Jacksonville Jaguars featured a premier wide receiver-cornerback matchup featuring A.J. Green and Jalen Ramsey.

It ended early. And it ended with blows.

Thirty seconds before halftime, this happened.

The scuffle resulted in two emptied sidelines. For some reason, or, because it’s the NFL, for no reason at all, Ramsey was ejected along with Green for being assaulted by an opponent.

The cornerback had spent the first half jawing at the normally reserved receiver, holding him to one catch for six yards.

Earlier this year, Green said of his subdued nature: “That’s who I am. I am here to play football. I am not here to get in an arguing match and fight on the field. No need. I need all the energy I can to go out and make plays.”

Unless he’s covered by Jalen Ramsey.
