Baker Mayfield Owned Colin Cowherd For The Browns’ First Win Since 2016

Baker Mayfield’s been a Browns quarterback for all of two months.

And he might already be the best thing to happen to the franchise since Josh Lambo missed a pair of field goals to help Cleveland to their last win back in December 2016.

The No. 1 overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft has done and said all the right things in his quest to bring the Browns back to relevance.

But on Thursday he did everyone — Browns fans and non-Browns fans alike — a solid by shoving the crap Colin Cowherd regularly spews back down the professional bad opinion haver‘s throat.

Cowherd tried his whole “I’m going to formulate an entire opinion about you based on a three-second clip” bit on Mayfield, who promptly pointed out how impossibly ludicrous that is.

He celebrated with the fans who traveled halfway across the country to support the team. The humanity!

“Did you watch the rest of the game?” Mayfield asked. “So you saw me celebrate with my teammates the three touchdowns before that? Oh, OK. You pulled the one clip of me running right there to our fans and people that traveled well to that game, first of all, and then you didn’t show the rest of the clip, of me going to our sideline.”

Cowherd’s opinion subsequently morphed from “not immediately celebrating with teammates after every touchdown ever is bad” to some bullshit about windows and decision-making.

Unsurprisingly, Mayfield got some support from a pair of recent Super Bowl champions. You know, the type of guy, according to Cowherd, Mayfield’s behavior might prevent him from becoming.

Congratulations, Browns fans. This is what victory tastes like.
