Bucks fans should probably let local taco chain BelAir Cantina know the team is desperate to bring Giannis Antetokounmpo back once his contract is up.
But first they apparently have to explain who Giannis is to BelAir’s employees.
Taco-ing Giannis for granted?
Giannis showed up to the restaurant following Milwaukee’s dramatic Game 4 victory over Boston on Sunday.
Then he waited for 10 minutes to be seated. Eventually, he dipped.
At @BelAirCantina on water street and just watched @Giannis_An34 wait for a table for 10 minutes and no one helped him so he left… Dude just won Milwaukee a playoff game! Get him some service pic.twitter.com/hcjsJfThiA

Bucks fans, rightfully, were not pleased. Like this one.
This makes me irrationally angry. Not only do you immediately seat this man, he eats for free at all your locations. Do the right thing, @BelAirCantina

And this one.
Seeing as how they are the sponsor of the new arena, this is completely baffling and unacceptable.

BelAir Cantina’s response was kinda embarrassing.
First, an apology without accepting responsibility:
We are very sorry we weren’t able to seat @Giannis_An34 in as timely of a manner as we would have hoped. The @Bucks big win, thanks to his tip in and the team’s great play, combined with today’s spring weather had people turn out in droves to celebrate and we had quite a wait.

Then, an attempt to cover their asses:
.@BelAirCantina has cleared the air everybody! @Giannis_An34 was greeted and told the wait and then his group chose to leave to grab pizza at Dimoda. NOBODY FREAK OUT! #TacoBoutAMisunderstanding pic.twitter.com/5Ewji1dvqO

Conveniently, BelAir Cantina only released an image, not video footage. It’s probably safe to go ahead and assume they would have dropped the video too had it not made them look really, really bad.
In February, Giannis sounded more comfortable with leaving Milwaukee in free agency, which won’t be until 2021, than he ever had before.
So while Giannis insists he has no hard feelings about the incident, it’s hard to blame Bucks fans for feeling like this right about now.
I will remember this and blame @BelAirCantina if Giannis ever leaves in free agency
