The NBA regular season ended two and a half months ago.
But, in an attempt to sap every advertising dollar out of a league that truly has no offseason, the NBA waited until Monday night to hand out awards for the 2017-18 campaign.
As you might expect, unlike a Dothraki wedding with at least three deaths, it was a dull affair.
So dull, that the highlight was an old guy getting the finger from an even older guy.
Fortunately for Charles Barkley, the long, shot-blocking finger of Bill Russell was extended all in good fun.
While presenting Oscar Robertson with the Lifetime Achievement Award, Barkley thanked the legends who came before him.
But his nod to the Celtics legend was met with the finger and a laugh.

This isn’t the 84-year-old Russell’s first time coming after Barkley, either

After the show, Russell apologized … just not to Chuck.

A legend in every sense of the word.
