On NBA on TNT, Charles Barkley revealed a belief he has held for a while now, as he finally felt comfortable enough with the audience to express it. Ladies and gentlemen, Charles Barkley doesn’t believe in vegetarians.

This isn’t in the sense that he doesn’t think they have willpower to achieve their goals or whatever. Sir Charles straight up doesn’t think they exist.

“There’s no such thing as a vegetarian,” Barkley told Ernie Johnson. “Nobody doesn’t like meat, Ernie.”

Oh, Charles Barkley. You are a gem of a human being. But you couldn’t be more incorrect about this. In fact, there are several players in the NBA who have adopted a vegetarian or vegan diet in order to trim fat and get more energy, or because they don’t like the meat industry. On the list of players who identify as vegetarian or vegan are Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard, Enes Kanter, Wilson Chandler, Jahlil Okafor, and Al Jefferson.

Read up on the diet, Charles. Many people have spoken on the wonders of the vegetarian diet. Plus, all that meat is one of the leading reasons for heart disease and colon issues. It doesn’t hurt to infuse more veggies and fruits into your diet.

But you also don’t have to completely give up meat to live a healthy life.
