Floyd Mayweather Has An Impossibly Idiotic Take On Conor McGregor’s Arrest

It wouldn’t be an incident involving Conor McGregor without Floyd Mayweather’s inserting his idiotic grin into it, but the undefeated boxer’s recent comments about McGregor’s pre-UFC 223 arrest for an incident at the Barclays Center display a level of ignorance that’s almost impressively astonishing, even for Floyd.

“I feel that when you have reached such high status, you have to carry yourself in a classy way,” Mayweather told Jim Gray this weekend in response to McGregor’s rampage against a bus full of UFC fighters. “Outside the ring, you have to carry yourself as a gentleman.”

I … I just … he can’t actually be this dumb, can he? Does he believe that having (at least) seven different arrests or citations, according to Deadspin, for physical assault against (at least) five different women — including serving 90 days in prison for hitting Josie Harris in front of their child and being sued for beating the mother of another one of his children with a car door — qualifies as “classy” and “gentlemanly” behavior? And that’s not even counting incidents in which police were summoned but didn’t take official action.

Or perhaps he thinks this is the definition of class.

Floyd is so full of shit, that when he does meet McGregor in the octagon (get over it, it’s already happening), I might have to root for the guy whose disregard for others injured two fighters ahead of a UFC 223 pay day.

On second thought, don’t let me down again, asteroid.
