For the first time in what seems like forever, the New England Patriots found themselves on the wrong side of a controversial call, as a 22-yard touchdown catch by Corey Clement was upheld by officials in the middle of the third quarter of the Super Bowl.

Here’s the replay. The ball moves in Clement’s arm ever so slightly as he slides out of the back of the end zone.

Depending on whom you ask, it was either an obvious Philadelphia Eagles touchdown or a clear no-catch.

A former NFL vice president of officiating, however, agreed with the call.

The Patriots would answer with a touchdown of their own less than two minutes later in the form of a Chris Hogan reception.

Entering the fourth quarter, the Eagles lead 29-26.
