Damian Lillard Spent All-Star Weekend Writing a Song About Being Snubbed

Damian Lillard felt he was snubbed from the NBA All-Star Game.

Most pundits would agree.

But instead of getting all negative about his exclusion from the midseason festivities, the Portland Trail Blazers star poured his energy and frustrations into his other love—rapping.

What would he rap about?

Well, being snubbed from the game, of course.

As his alter ego Dame D.O.L.L.A., the point guard averaging 24.3 points and 7.3 assists per game released a track titled "They Sleep" featuring his rapping cousin Brookfield Duece (spelling intentional).

After a verse from Mr. Duece, Dame comes out hot.

"Lemme holla at y'all bout a few things quick / I'm as humble as they come, but my shoe game lit / I ain't make the all-Stars but I'm flu game sick / Last time they count me out, what I do? Game 6 …"

Chandler Parsons is nodding his head somewhere.

Lillard's verse kicks in at 1:53.

As has been the case with most of Dame's musical forays, his rap game's pretty tight. But he needs someone to step up with some hotter beats.
